Sadie Amara Calvano has become popular for her role as Violet Plunkett that she played in CBS show Mom. Calvano is originally from California and first became fascinated by gymnastics. But, she made the decision to go after a job acting. Her screen debut came in 2010 on an episode of the CBS program "NCIS,". She made her big-screen debut a year after in the biographical drama film "J Edgar". She has become one of today's most promising actresses in recent years. For her performance in 'NCIS', she received a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best performance in a television Series with a Guest Actor Actress 11-15 years old in the year 2011. In addition, she was nominated in 2013 for an additional Young Artist Award, this time due to her performance as a guest in the comedy series of Disney XD 'Kickin' It'. Calvano was a part of Mom's initial three seasons, and also made several guest appearances throughout the fourth. The role she played in "Mom" garnered her an award called the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in 2015.
